Accounts Senior

This role would suit a newly qualified ACA or ACCA who is looking to take the next step in their career. This role will be primarily managing a small portfolio of clients and projects supporting the Accounts Managers.

Candidates who are partially qualified ACA, or AAT and have relevant experience will also be considered for this role. 

The work will be varied and challenging at appropriate levels and the main duties may include:

  • Prepare and review statutory accounts
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts
  • Statutory audit work
  • Review quarterly VAT returns
  • Regular client liaison to offer general business advice

A working knowledge of Xero, Kashflow, Sage, Excel and Iris or CCH is desirable. The ability to meet deadlines is essential.

You will have gained your accounting experience working in Practice and be comfortable to supervise more junior team members and liaise directly with clients and senior members of the management team.

Good client communication skills are required together with strong organisational skills and a proven track record of achieving targets and workflow deadlines.

Bookkeeper – position filled

Due to growth, an experienced bookkeeper is needed to complement the existing team. You will be comfortable attending Client meetings and helping them integrate new software and their accounts.


  • Computer literate
  • Experience of producing management accounts and VAT returns
  • Good organisational and time management skills to meet Client deadlines
  • Lots of customer contact via phone, email and face-to face meetings, so strong communication skills required
  • Team player with a flexible and positive can-do attitude


  • Xero and Kashflow experience

Tax Senior – position filled

Working in the busy tax department completing self-assessment tax returns for a portfolio of clients and answering day-to-day queries.  Also an opportunity to carry out further work in the specialist area of trust tax.


  • Dealing with all variety of personal taxation matters
  • Completing self-assessment tax returns
  • Experienced in buy-to-let property income, share portfolios and pension reliefs
  • Processing tax returns in commercial software
  • Working as part of a team
  • Organised and professional working manner


  • IRIS Tax software
  • Trust Tax experience
  • ATT, CTA or QBE

Payroll Administrator – position filled

An experienced and confident professional is needed. Responsible for processing payroll and also controlling the quality of other team member’s work.  To be able to document and provide feedback to team members where necessary.


  • Prior payroll experience
  • Must enjoy a busy environment and be able to multi-task
  • Good organisational and time management skills to meet Client deadlines
  • Attention to detail as well as being a team player
  • Lots of customer contact via phone, email and face-to face meetings, so strong communication skills required
  • Flexibility at differing times of the month when workloads are busier

Experience of Iris payroll software also desirable.

Trainee Accountant – position filled

An opportunity for a candidate to study for ACA.

A fixed term position not exceeding 4 years. Ideally you have experience within general practice. Preference will be given to those who have already completed AAT examinations.
